Getting those first tracks on an untouched slope, while enjoying the beauty of the snow-covered mountains? Skiing off-piste is only fun when you pay utmost attention to safety! We’ll introduce you to freeride technique and show you what equipment and prior knowledge is required for a successful run.
Your skiing ability
You’re a keen skier. You’re proficient in carving turns and short turns on a variety of pistes. You’re skilled in adapting your turns to the terrain. However, you find it difficult to ski in a relaxed and even manner off-piste in varied snow conditions, and it requires some effort to adapt your motion sequences.
What to expect
With improvements to your technique you’ll be able to move with more energy efficiency and speed in the backcountry. This means you’ll be able to go further on your tours and also, that you’ll be safer on exposed slopes because you’ll be putting less pressure on the snowpack.
